Two rooms available in a cute and cozy single-family home in Lower Allston, just a two-minute walk from Harvard’s SEC.

We are a young couple and former Leverett House Resident Tutors. One of us recently completed a PhD at Harvard, and the other is a... BU Law graduate. We recently bought the house and are gradually renovating it, including building a large home library and transforming the garden into a beautiful shared space for reading, gardening, relaxing, and spending time with friends.

We would love to create the kind of home community we enjoyed at Harvard: thoughtful, kind, intellectually curious, and genuinely welcoming. We are looking for people who enjoy good conversation and living with interesting, considerate housemates, while also valuing privacy and giving one another plenty of space. Grad students, PhD students, postdocs, researchers, and other curious and community-minded people would likely feel especially at home here.

Kindness, thoughtfulness, respect, cleanliness, and open communication matter much more to us than having identical schedules or lifestyles. The goal is not a forced communal household, but a warm home where people live independently, look out for one another, and occasionally share dinner, a drink, a conversation in the library, or time in the garden.

Renovations are currently underway, and rent will be reduced according to the level of disruption, by up to 50%. We will communicate clearly about upcoming work and make sure the rent fairly reflects its impact.
