The Home & The Vision
When Sherry and I bought 29 Hopedale earlier this year, our goal was to bring the best parts of our time as Resident Tutors at Leverett House into a more personal space. We wanted to... create a home where curious, thoughtful people can live together and build community naturally, and a place that feels welcoming and social without ever requiring forced participation.

We are currently transforming the house to reflect that vision, building a home library and turning the large garden into a beautiful shared space for reading, relaxing, and spending time with friends.

Who You'll Live With
You’ll be sharing the house with a mix of young professionals and researchers:

- Sherry & Robert: Attorney (BU Law ’25) & data scientist (Harvard PhD ’23).
- Maria: A visiting researcher from Italy (PoliMi M.Sc. '27) working in robotics at Harvard.
- Anitej: A software engineer (Harvard M.Sc. ’25) and teaching fellow at Harvard.

Who We’re Looking For
Grad students, postdocs, researchers, and other curious, community-minded people between ~25-35 will feel right at home here. Kindness, thoughtfulness, respect, cleanliness, and open communication matter much more to us than having identical schedules or lifestyles.

The goal isn’t a forced communal household, but a warm home where people look out for one another, are curious about each other's research and work, leading to natural conversations over tea in the library or a drink at the kitchen table with the occasional dinner party or barbecue in the garden.
