2-bedroom 1-bathroom 800 sq ft bright and quiet flat
Hi, I'm about to take over a lease from March 1st for a 2-bedroom 1-bathroom 800sf flat close to the Washington St / Beacon St corner in Somerville, so I'm looking for a roommate! The monthly rent is $3300, hence $1650/person. The flat is usually... unfurnished but the person who's transferring the lease is keen to resell some of the furniture (except the sofa in the living room and the bed). The flat is very bright and I liked it as soon as I visited!
I am a new Harvard associate researcher. I'm looking for a 'long-term' flatshare with an open-minded social person.
I usually like sports (hiking, cycling, swimming...). I've been flat sharing for the last 4 years (post-Covid decision): 2 years in Lyon (FR), 2 years in London (UK). I appreciate to share time with the flatmates; that can involve dinner parties, movie nights or boardgames!
If you feel we (and the flat, of course) are a good match for flatsharing, please reach out and I'll organize a viewing on Monday, Feb 9 / Tuesday, Feb 10 / Wednesday, Feb 11 in the evening. The management company will ask for a $250 fee once we submit the application. We'll need to pay first month, last month and a 1-month deposit upon the lease transfer.
There are a French bakery, a deli and a butcher shop a few steps away and Market Basket is 10 min away from the flat. Bus lines 86 and 109 (15-min service) run on the street. There are also two nearby Bluebikes stations. Closest T/train stations are Harvard Square (20min walking) and Union Square (15min walking).
The flat has its own dishwasher, laundry washer and dryer. The rent does not include utility bills, which sum up to an average of $100/month/person. Parking is on the street without any assigned spot.
