Apartment close to campus

Hi! I’m looking for someone to take over my lease for Oct 1, for a room in this 3bed 2bath, Harvard-owned house on Sumner Road, right behind the Harvard GSD!
The current roommates are two clean, respectful female Harvard PhD students and have lived... here for many years and have loved it. I have to move for personal reasons, but I’ve really enjoyed it as well! The rent is $1544 a month, including all utilities (WiFi, heating, AC). No security deposit or first/last month needed.
- Room is on the third floor (all floors connected closely with flight of stairs), and you’d share a bathroom with another roommate on the same floor. The room would be unfurnished
- Living room, dining area, and kitchen on the first floor (all furnished)
- Coin laundry in the building, right by the back door
- 5 minute walk to Harvard Yard, 7-10 minutes to Harvard T stop/square
- Less than 15 min walk to both Star Market and Whole Foods
- 1 min from 69 and 109 bus routes
- Large backyard with the GSD lawn right behind the house!
Ideally, I’m looking for someone to take over my lease for the year (through August 2026). But if you’d like a shorter-term sublet, I’m very open to discussing a flexible start date in early October and a desired end month. Reach out if you’re interested in any of these options or have questions!
