Bright Quiet Apartment

Room available in large 2-bedroom apartment in East Arlington— July or August move in

I’m seeking a compatible roommate for me and my 3 cats. I work for an administrative office at Harvard and have recently started working in the office full-time,...
mostly 5 days a week. My current roommate and I help each other out with pet care, so it would be great to find someone that could help with that. I have wonderful, very friendly cats.

Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing at home, watching tv, cooking, and board games. I am a nerd at heart – history, LOTR, Harry Potter and Star Wars are a few of the many favorites – and would love to live with a fellow nerd! I typically go to bed early, and I don’t drink or use other drugs. I hope to find someone who can live compatibly with those lifestyle habits (e.g. relatively quiet at night and no big rowdy parties at home).

I’d love to develop a dynamic that feels friendly, and if we hit it off, we can spend time together (movie nights? board games?)! At the very least, I’m looking for someone who is kind, respectful, and will help care for the apartment (e.g. share household tasks). I am an animal lover, and my cats have lived with a dog before, so a dog who is good with cats would be welcome!

This spacious second floor apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, office, living room, dining room, kitchen, sun porch, balcony, fenced in backyard, and lots of storage space in the basement.

Laundry is in the basement and is shared with downstairs neighbors.

The location of this apartment is amazing! A 2-minute walk to the Minuteman bike path, very close to Spy Pond, and less than a 5-minute walk to many restaurants and shops on Mass Ave. Right near many bus lines and less than a mile from Alewife station on the Red Line.

Rent per person is $1,375 per month

Utilities per person average to about $100 per month (depending on heat and personal a/c use), it might increase this next year since summers are getting hotter. Also, the internet is about $30 per month per person. Lease begins August 1st.
