I'm a retired professor looking for a female housemate to share a 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom apartment in a 2-family, colonial style home. Your room is in the 1st floor apartment of a 2-family house in a safe, quiet, residential neighborhood of East... Watertown near the Cambridge line. It's on the #71 bus line direct to Harvard Square (15 minutes, 2.8 miles.) The bus stops right across the street.

I'm the only other person living in the apartment. We'll share the use of the living room, the cheerful all-season sunroom, the dining room, and the eat-in kitchen. The half bath is yours alone. We'll share the full bath for showers. In nice weather, you have the use of an outdoor porch for sitting and reading or just lounging.

The HVAC is via heat pump with individual controls in each room. Your bedroom is 10' x 12' with a twin bed, mattress, and linens. There's a desk, a bookcase, and a full closet. There are 3 spacious drawers under the bed. Large items, like suitcases, can be stored in a clean basement room. You'll share the use of the basement washer and dryer with me.

You should be okay with dogs, since I have a quiet elderly sheltie. She is not allowed in your room unless you invite her. I occasionally board small, well-mannered dogs, one at a time.

Please be willing to provide two references: one from your current or your most recent landlord/landlady; and one from a professor or supervisor.

Just bring your suitcase! Everything except food and laundry supplies is included.
