Furnished family home, short commute (car/bus) to Harvard Square

Our furnished single-family home in Watertown is ideal for visiting faculty or researchers or other professionals spending a year or so in the Boston area. We are flexible in terms of length of stay. The house is a 10-minute bus ride to Harvard... Square, with a bus stop one minute from the front door. Harvard Square provides easy Red Line subway access to MIT, Massachusetts General Hospital, Kendall Square, downtown Boston, Tufts University. The neighborhood is quiet and residential but several good restaurants, cafés, and shops are a short walk away.

The home also works well remote work.. In addition to three bedrooms, there are separate office/work spaces, making it easy for up to three people to work simultaneously or have dedicated studies. The house is comfortable, and well-suited for relaxing at the end of the day or continued writing or research. We have very good wifi.
The house includes a fully equipped kitchen. Small front and back yards. Recent upgrades include a new high-efficiency heat-pump HVAC system providing heating and air conditioning and a new roof. There are two driveways for off-street parking.

The home can sleep up to seven people, but we limit occupancy to four residents to maintain the property and keep utilities manageable. Utilities and high-speed internet are included in the rent.

We prefer academic-year leases (August–August) but are open to discussing other arrangements.

Watertown is a popular neighborhood for Harvard and MIT faculty because of its easy access to Harvard Square, quiet streets, and proximity to the Charles River bike path.
