Special features: > Fully furnished... apartment, including all bedroom and living room furniture; all in excellent condition. > Apartment includes living room, dining room, sunroom with guest bed, and spacious office. > The kitchen is fully remodeled with high-end appliances in excellent condition. Includes all china, glassware, utensils, pans/pots, etc. Everything you need for daily living. > Lnens provided (bed linens, towels, etc.) for up to two people. > Residential neighborhood near shops and restaurants; 4 blocks to Cushing Square and less than 5 minutes walking to the 73 bus. Bike commuting to Cambridge is straightforward; secure, shared garage storage for up to two bikes. > In-unit laundry. > Small air conditioner (window unit) for back of apartment. Tenant provides additional A/C if needed. > Back porch and shared back patio. > Owner pays for water and high-speed internet. Tenant pays gas (heat and hot water) and electric.

Additional fees: > For those visiting for a shorter term (e.g., semester only), we can include gas and electric for an additional cost. Price will depend on season. Cleaning is provided by a third party (Surfaceworks of Watertown) to ensure the apartment and its contents are maintained in good condition.
Limitations/requests: > We are looking for someone who will take good care of the apartment and its contents. We are also looking for good neighbors since we live upstairs: someone who is considerate, clean and generally quiet. > Bedroom features a full-sized bed (i.e. "double bed"), not a queen bed. > This apartment previously was occupied by owner's mother. For this reason, there are two "pass through" doors to the upstairs apartment -- both of which we ask you to keep locked for mutual privacy. > Owner provides an initial starter supply of household consumables (e.g., paper goods, basic cleaning products, light bulbs); tenant is responsible for replacement of these items as needed thereafter. > No subletting and no additional occupants not listed on the lease without written permission of the owner. > No smoking of any type, including vaping. > No pets. > No parking. Belmont has an overnight parking ban, so street parking is also not available. > E‑bikes and e‑scooters are permitted only if they use UL‑listed batteries/chargers and are in good condition (no damage, swelling, or overheating). > Excellent references are required. We in turn are happy to provide references from prior tenants. We can also share reviews from Airbnb, where we used to list the unit. > Month-to-month lease.
