Private Room Available in East Watertown

1 Room available in East Watertown on Watertown/Cambridge border
$890/month, available Sept 1st

The roommates:
- 1 Male in his early 40s who works remotely in Inclusion Economics at Yale. Kind, easygoing, and community-minded, he enjoys sharing...
meals and good conversation while always respecting everyone's space and independence. He recently took up running and is known to occasionally take a (technically prohibited) dip in the Charles.
- 1 Female in her early 30s (me) transitioning from a career in design to medicine and starting Harvard's pre-med post-baccalaureate program this August. Outside of work and studying, you'll usually find me on a long bike ride along the Charles, trying a new restaurant, or enjoying a glass of wine and good conversation.
- 1 Male in his late 20s who recently graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He'll be working in education research and teaching in Boston. He's thoughtful, clean, and considerate, and after four years of living with roommates, he's very respectful of shared spaces. While naturally more introverted, he enjoys the occasional conversation or shared meal.
- We keep semi-social but low-key house dynamics, where socializing in the kitchen while cooking is common, and occasionally share a meal or a glass of wine in the living room. We are varying degrees of introverts, but we do have guests over on occasion and would welcome you to do so as well.
- Please note that the landlord has a strict no smoking or vaping on the property policy that is written in the lease.
- We are looking for a roommate who is tidy, responsible, and respectful. We welcome introverts and extroverts alike!

The apartment:
- The apartment is on the top two floors of a three-story house.
- There are 4 bedrooms, 1 office, 2 full baths, a living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 balconies, and a shared backyard - it's more space than we know what to do with. Previous tenants have hosted thanksgiving, tea parties, game nights, etc, all without crowding the other tenants.
- Free laundry in the basement
- No central a/c, but there are window units available for use in the summertime, and radiator heating in the winter
- Cats will be considered by the landlord on a case-by-case basis and will require a good landlord reference. No other pets are permitted.
- Off-street parking is available. The garage fits two cars (three with some maneuvering) and there is currently 1 space occupied.

The room:
- $890/month + utilities. The rooms vary in size and desirability, so they are priced accordingly. This room is mid-sized compared to the others.
- East facing windows
- Hardwood floors, decently sized closet, and radiator heating
- Not furnished, but the other roommates moving out this summer have some bedroom items they would be interested in giving away/selling if needed

The neighborhood:
- 1 block from the 71 bus stop, which takes you to Harvard Square and the Red Line in 10 minutes and runs every ~12 minutes on weekdays and ~20 minutes on weekends
- 1 block from multiple boutique Armenian grocery shops, which are great for grabbing last-minute ingredients you might've missed from the store
- 10-15 minute walk to Arsenal Yards Mall, Star Market, Target, and Roche Bros
- Also within walking distance of Mt. Auburn cemetery if you enjoy a beautiful, quiet walk
