Neighborhood is Safe and Walk-able The Avon Hill neighborhood is an extremely safe neighborhood that is a walker's paradise. Neighborhood is very quaint with well-maintained brick sidewalks, wide streets, low traffic, and historic houses that are a combination of Victorian and Gothic architectural styles. Summer strolls along the tree-lined streets and viewing the neighbors sculpted gardens and flower beds are a true delight. Raymond Park is a 5-minute walk away. You can also safely run and bike in the neighborhood. This street is also very quiet as Arlington Street is a one-way street that runs towards Mass Ave and Walnut Ave is only 1 block, so there is no traffic coming from Mass Ave, and very little traffic on these streets. At night there is hardly any noise.
Lots of Natural Light! The house also gets lots of natural lighting as the house is on a hill and the downhill direction for the hill is East. The living room has windows that face East, which translates to unobstructed direct sunlight in the living room in morning and afternoon. In addition, the living room and Master bedroom have windows that face South which gets afternoon sunlight in the Northern hemisphere. Lastly, the house across the street in the South direction is far enough away that it does not obstruct afternoon sunlight.
