About Me:
My name is Rammani Acharya, and I've been living in Somerville, MA for the past 20 years.

About the House:
I recently purchased a two-family... house with the intention of renting it out. After completing a major renovation, both units have been available for rent since December. I refinished the basement and installed brand new washers and dryers for both units. The house features central heating and cooling, as well as high-speed 1 Gigabyte internet.

About the Area:
Davis Square in Somerville is a popular area for young professionals and students. The neighborhood boasts over three dozen restaurants and three major gyms. There’s a public park and a volleyball court just one block away. Grocery stores like H-Mart, Stop & Shop, and Whole Foods are within walking distance, and the police station is just two blocks away.

Transportation:

Green Line Subway: 10-minute walk

Red Line Subway: 8-minute walk

Bus Routes: Routes 80 and 87 are just a 2-minute walk, while Routes 77, 88, 89, 90, 94, and 96 are an 8-minute walk.

About the Second Unit:
The second unit is the larger of the two and spans 2,200 square feet across the second and third floors of the house. It has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first level includes 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a spacious living room, a large dining room, a big kitchen, a front porch, and a back porch. The second level features 3 large bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and two of the bedrooms have walk-in closets and access to a private back porch.

About the Room for Rent:
The available room is located on the second floor of the second unit. It is spacious, with over 150 square feet of space, not including the two walk-in closets. I’ve recently purchased a new bed and mattress for this room. The rent includes all utilities.

Rent Details:

Monthly Rent: $1,200 (All utilities included)

Move-In Requirements: First month's rent, last month's rent, and a security deposit.

Preferred Tenant:
I am looking for a young working professional or student with a stable income and no criminal background. No pets or smoking are allowed.

Rental Duration:
The room is available now and can be rented until 08/31/2026, or for a shorter-term lease.
