Roommate wanted for my bright, quiet 2BR; near Design Sch.; washer/dryer, parking; 3rd fl. walk-up
The apartment is lovely: spacious, light-filled, and quiet. There are two bedrooms, a living room, an office / study, a dining room, an eat-in kitchen, a washer / dryer in the apartment, and two outdoor decks. You'd need to furnish your bedroom;... the rest is furnished. The apartment is a third-floor walk-up in a well-maintained private home on a leafy street in a safe, residential neighborhood a little north of Harvard Yard (a 10-minute walk to Harvard Square). There's free parking in a little garage in the back. A bike could be stored there too. The landlord is terrific.
The lease would start on July 15th (that's somewhat flexible). The rent for the apartment is $4,000 per month, so $2,000 per person when split two ways. Utilities (gas, electric, Internet) are extra -- about $250 total per person per month.
You'd be sharing the apartment with me for the first six months. (For the second six months -- January 1, 2027 through June 30, 2027 -- we'd find someone to rent my room while I'm on an academic fellowship abroad.) I'm a 28-year-old woman. I graduated from Harvard College in 2020. I'm a third-year PhD student (humanities) at Harvard. I'm easy-going, friendly, upbeat, and courteous. I'm looking for a roommate (any gender) who's the same. Non-smokers only. Please tell me about yourself in your reply. Thanks!
