Short term lease in Cambridge

I look for a female roommate, who has no pets and does not smoke or vape, for Spring 2026. Move-in and move-out dates are flexible, and the rent can be prorated by week. Ideally it will be four months for the spring semester but it is possible to... have a shorter lease. We need to discuss for special cases.

My condo is a 2-bed 1-bath apartment in a camera secured building with an elevator at 12 Inman Street, located in Central Square, Cambridge. It is a 20-minute walk to Harvard or MIT. Within two blocks, you will find coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, a main post office, an Amazon office, and the Central Square bus/T stops. The condo is in a great location but remains quiet as the building is on a side street.

The unit is fully furnished, and the bedroom for rent is spacious, about 170 sq ft (16 square meters), with all needed furniture: bed and mattress, large California closets, tables and chairs, a mirror, and a ceiling fan. The rent is $1,750 per month, which includes water, hot water, and heat. We will share the internet bill (a fixed $65 per month, or $32.5 per person) and the electricity bill (currently about $50 per month).

The parking garage is directly beneath the building and can be rented month-to-month from the management company for about $160 per month.

Self-intro: I am a female visiting scholar at Asia Center, Harvard (originally I am from Asia) and a tenured professor at a university located about 25 minutes from Harvard. I am clean and organized particularly at the shared area. I am quiet and respectful. I only cook simple meals at home, have no pets, and do not host overnight guests. When at home, I typically spend most of my time reading or working on my computer.

Approximate Utility Cost: Utility is about $50 to $60 per month.
